I make distortion corrections in Photoshop: 1. outline distorted art with polygonal lasso, breaking curves into as many straight-line segments as necessary 2. snap guides to outmost curves of lasso selection 3. use transform/warp to pull art to line up with guides 4. deselect corrected shape, reselect along guides with rectangular marquee tool, and crop. (CS4)
I work at an art gallery. When we shoot the incoming art, we set the camera farther back than you would think. I then zoom in and it is straighter on the edges than it is when you are closer. Good luck.

I tried it out, thanks so much! I had been using the lens correction filter in PS.
